NPC names are names which appear during Arcade Mode, Training Mode and the Salt mines. These names are generally taken up where player names are usually in, and are otherwise purely cosmetic ways to distinguish a Human opponent to an AI opponent.
"Can't let you do that" may also be a reference to memorable quote said by Wolf O'Donnell, the leader of Star Wolf, in Star Fox 64.
"QWERTY" refers to the keyboard design of the same name, which is based on Latin-scripted alphabets. "DVORAK" is similar, referring to an alternative keyboard layout.
"Beep, boop, meow" is a quote spoken by Robo Fortune from Skullgirls.
"Alt+F4 4 SW337 H4X" [Alt+F4 for sweet hacks] references a joke commonly used by opponents in online games, where pressing ALT+F4 would cause the game to close.
"EXTERMINAAATE" is a quote spoken the Daleks from Doctor Who, commonly spoken by them before they kill.
"po.ini = false" is a possible reference to Mane6's previous project, My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic, a game Them's Fighting' Herds used to be before the DMCA from Hasbro. Since the game does not feature characters who are ponies, the variable is false.
"011000100110111101110100" is binary for 'bot'.
"404 bot not found" refers to the error message "404 site not found".
"Carnivorous Waffle Iron" is a reference to a strip from the Freefall webcomic.
Similarly, "1071-CCN" is the name of the spaceship owned by Sam Starfall, one of the main characters of Freefall.
"The Singularity" might be a possible reference to the point where artificial intelligence will achieve superintellegence, which will then trigger unimaginable change to human civilization.
"Does not compute" is a phrase commonly used by computers, robots and artifial intellegence in science fiction.
"Daisy, Daisy" possibly refers to the nursery rhyme Daisy Bell, a Bicycle Built for Two.
"And for a time it was good" refers to a quote from The Animatrix: "In the beginning, there was man. And for a time, it was good(...)."
"Harder Better Faster Stronger" refers to the Daft Punk song of the same name.
"We demand it" is a possible reference to the message from the Sovereign from the Mass Effect series: "(...) YOU EXIST BECAUSE WE ALLOW IT, AND YOU WILL END BECAUSE WE DEMAND IT (...)."
"01110011" translates to "s" in binary.
In addition to this, "0111011," "Crying zeros," and "Hearing 111s" are all references to the Alt-J song "In Cold Blood."
"Foobar" is a placeholder name used in computer programming or computer-related documentation.
"My logic is undeniable" is a line spoken by VIKI from the movie I, Robot.
"Please insert girder" is a reference to the Futurama episode "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back", when Bender's mind is removed and he reverts back to factory default settings.
"Savage Chicken" is the name of the spaceship owned by Sam Starfall from the webcomic Freefall. (Pom also has a palette that references this comic.)

"Got Milk?" is a reference to a long-standing ad campaign in the US, encouraging the consumption of milk.
"I've Got a Fever" is a reference to a Saturday Night Live skit; the only prescription is More Cowbell.
"Best Background Cow" is a reference to 'background ponies', the fan name for tertiary (and sometimes secondary) characters in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. In particular, it may be a reference to a more derogatory use of the term, directed at Applejack (the character Arizona was patterned after) because she often stays out of the spotlight of most episodes.
"Holy C." is short for "Holy Cow".
"Touch the Cow" and "Do it Now" are a reference to a scene from a children's book that became an Internet meme.
"BlazMoo" and "GrazeBlu" are references to the Blazblue franchise.
"Level 10 Cattle Chieftain" and "Moo. Are you happy now?" are references to World of Warcraft, the first being a play off of the "Level 70 Tauren Chieftains" and the second being an in-game joke.

"Edgelord Hoers", and "Edgemaster" are all references to "edginess", which describes teenage attempts to be 'cool' that often invoke goth aesthetic, grimdark subject matter, and/or the occult.
"Crawling in my pelt" is a reference to the song Crawling by Linkin Park, and the use of the first two lines of the song - Crawling in my skin / these wounds they will not heal - to mock those seen as 'edgy'.
"Donut Steel" is a memetic term for fan-characters, especially poorly-designed fan characters made by teenagers- and especially ones made to be 'edgy'. (See a pattern here?) The term is a corruption of the phrase "Original Character, Do Not Steal".
"Dusknight Glitter" is a reference to Twilight Sparkle, the character that Oleander was inspired from.

"WTT Soul 4 Pwrlvling" and other "WTT" names, reference video game lingo for "Want To Trade soul for powerleveling". "Powerleveling", in turn, is the practice of gaining experience and levels at a much faster rate than normal- and thus, becoming stronger through exploiting the game.
"PST" is "Please Send Tell", a.k.a asking for private correspondence, in video game lingo.
"LF Schoolgirl Uniform" is likely a reference to "LFG", a.k.a Looking For Group, more video game lingo, in this case wanting a group to do certain quests with.
"Tentacles, Tentacles everywhere!", and "Why is Fred pixellated" are both reference to Japanese hentai (pornographic art) featuring tentacles. In particular, "Why is Fred pixellated" may refer to ineffective censorship of said hentai.
"Seen enough", "...to know where it's going", and "I know where it's going" are references to the memetic phrase 'Seen enough hentai to know where this is going', which in itself references the same Japanese tentacle-centric hentai
"Like one of my japanese animes", is a reference to the character Otacon from the Metal Gear Solid series, who spoke the line in the game Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes.
"Fifty Shades of Neigh", "Fifty Shades of Prey", "Fifty Shades of Hay", and "Shades of Grey", are all references to the book Fifty Shades of Grey.
"Fighting for the crown" and "Drummed out of town" are references to the nursery rhyme of The Lion and The Unicorn.
"Dark Magician Girl" is a reference to the Yu-Gi-Oh card of the same name.
"Warm Subject" is a reference to an item drop in Kingdom of Loathing (the Warm Subject Gift Card) from killing a Goth Giant. That item is a reference to Hot Topic.
"Can't light the candle", "My ungodly book speaks to you", and "Bonjour, je veux mon livre" are all references to the 1993 film Hocus Pocus.
"Cashleander OTP (SHUT UP FRED)" is a reference to shiptease within the game, mainly by Fred, involving Oleander and Cashmere.
"Need for read" is a reference to Need for Speed - a racing video game franchise title.
"All Dogs Send You To Heaven" is a reference to the 1989 animated film All Dogs Go to Heaven.
"Shynet" refers to Skynet, a fictional computer network from the Terminator series.
"Assistant Mayor" is a possible reference to the movie Zootopia, specifically referring to Assistant Mayor Bellwether.
If not that, it may be a reference to Isabelle, from the Animal Crossing series, who in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, acts as the secretary (or assistant) to the player, who becomes the mayor of the town they move to.
"No War in Baaah's Sheep State" is a reference to the phrase "There is no war in Ba Sing Se" from "Avatar the Last Airbender". This same phrase was also referenced in the old Book of Lore on the official website, as the title of Pom's chapter.
"Pomhub" is a more than obvious reference to the porn site "Pornhub". "Hardcore Pomography" is similar, referring to... hardcore pornography. Both of these names share the same joke- that Pom's name looks similar to the word 'porn' without kerning.
"Bleat it" and "Just bleat it, bleat it" (but not, specifically, "Bleat it, chump") are a reference to "Beat It", a Michael Jackson song.
"Green Haggis is Sheeple" is a reference to Haggis, or sheep organs as human food; "sheeple", and the phrase "Soylent Green is People!" from the 1973 film Soylent Green.
"Ain't nothin' but a hound dog" and "Cryin' all the time" are a reference to "Hound Dog", a song written by Big Mama Thornton and made famous by Elvis Presley.
"Sheep in Sheep's clothing" and "Woof in Sheep's clothing" are a reference to the phrase "A wolf in sheep's clothing", or something malicious hiding as something harmless.
"Commander Sheepard" and "Favourite combo in Baaah's Citadel" are references to Commander Shepard and one of his popular phrases in the video game Mass Effect 2.
"Pan Huoshanic Defense Corp" is a reference to Pacific Rim (Pan Pacific Defense Corps).
"20% hotter (yeah I went there)" is a reference to Rainbow Dash, who Tianhuo was modeled after. In the episode "Suited For Success" (during the song Art of the Dress), Rainbow Dash says that her dress "needs to be about 20% cooler."
"Tianhuo Reeves" is a reference to the actor Keanu Reeves.
"Dragneto" is a reference to Magneto, from the X-Men. Tianhuo's playstyle is sometimes compared to that of Magneto.

"SDF L4 STR" means Single Deer Female Looking For Short Term Relationship.
"A song of ice and ire" is a reference to the series of books published by Geroge R.R. Martin, "A Song of Ice and Fire".
"Winter's coming" is a reference to the moto from the Game of Thrones series, in which the fictional House Stark's moto is "Winter is coming".
"Let it go" is a reference to the song from the Disney film Frozen.
"Sheer Cold" is possibly reference to an ice based Pokémon move with the same name.
"Just Ice rains from above" is a reference to a quote spoken by the hero Pharah from Overwatch during her ultimate ability, called Barrage; she shouts "Justice rains from above!"
This quote is heard when playing her, or when Pharah is on the enemy team. If the Pharah is another player on your team, she says "Rocket Barrage incoming!"
"Снег Идет" means "It's snowing" in Russian.
"HAIL2U" is a reference to the catchphrase of the character Cameo from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
"Nora" is a reference to the name of the player's spouse in Fallout 4 (if they chose to be male). Said spouse dies while in cryogenic stasis.
"Where is my super suit?" and "Wanted to go bowling" are references to Frozone, real name Lucius Best, from the Pixar film The Incredibles.
"Chiller Frost" references DC Comics supervillain, Killer Frost.
